Sikkim was its own mountain realm till 1975 despite everything holds an exceptionally unmistakable character. The reflective, wall painting filled conventional cloisters of Tibetan Buddhism coincide with Hindu sanctums of the consistently developing Nepali people group, with the two religions making some amazing modern megasculptures to enhance the horizon.

By Air

Bagdogra Airport is around 125 km from Gangtok,the nearest to the capital city of Sikkim. Besides, Sikkim has its own airport as well called the Pakyong Airport, opened recently in May 2018. The airport is not fully functional till now.

By Train

Those travelling to Sikkim by trains have to book their tickets up to New Jalpaiguri railway station which is nearly 120 kmfrom Gangtok. From NJP you can reach Sikkim by road.

By Road

The capital city of Sikkim, Gangtok is well connected by road with nearby cities including Darjeeling (96 km), Siliguri (118 km) and Kalimpong (75 km).
